There are two main goals of the ESTEEM project. One is to provide a stronger case for the 2D-CTTVA method, by testing its capabilities on synthetic data and on other real events, by studying the errors in estimating the discontinuity parameters and by further developing it. On the other hand, the project is aiming to obtain a more detailed picture of the MP dynamics on several crossings by Cluster.
More specificaly, the project will be addressed the following aspects:
(a) testing 2D-CTTVA on synthetic data
(b) further development of the 2D-CTTVA method
(c) method evaluation through analysis of more 2D, non-planar, discontinuity crossing events
(d) study of the MP dynamics
(e) error calculation
