Dr. Jay R. Johnson from Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory visited our laboratory between 1st and 12th of October 2007. He explored possibilities for future collaborations to understand plasma electrodynamics in the Earth’s magnetosphere. A number of common subjects have been identified like: plasma sheet nonlinearities and asymmetries, kinetic structure of the plasma boundary layers, non-extensive statistical analysis of magnetospheric plasma state. Dr. Johnson gave a seminar in the Faculty of Physics where he discussed “Outstanding problems in space plasma physics”.
