19th Cluster Workshop
Poiana Brasov, Romania, 18-21 May 2010
19th Cluster Workshop
Multi-point Investigations of Magnetosphere-Ionosphere Coupling and Aurora
Poiana Brasov, Romania, 18 - 21 May, 2010.

Dear Colleagues,

The final version of the workshop program - including abstracts - is now ready and attached to this message.

The transport scheme is ready as well - please find attached the arrivals section. We hope the info you sent us is correctly reflected by the table, but in case something is wrong please let us know. The transport will be provided by two companies, KIRA and Phoenix, as indicated in the last column. The departure time from the airport, also in the last column, is just a rough estimate - the drivers will wait until everybody comes. Once you leave the protected area please look for the 'CW19' logo. Be prepared for a 3-3.5 h drive. In case your flight is late, please inform us and we shall find a back-up solution.

Practicalities:
a) Weather. Although we hope for nice weather next week, please keep in mind that Poiana Brasov is a mountain resort, located at 1100 m altitude. Sudden changes may occur, with showers and temperature drops, please be prepared. A sweater and a raincoat certainly help, perhaps also a pair of hiking boots for the afternoon of Thursday.
b) Currency. The local currency in Romania is called "Leu" (lion), plural "Lei". The exchange rate is about 4.2 Lei for 1 EUR and 3.3 Lei for 1 USD. An ATM machine is available at the hotel (and also at the airport). The major credit cards are generally accepted, including at the hotel.
c) Power supply. Electricity is supplied at 230 Volts / 50 Hz; the outlet is similar to the one in Germany.
